About the role

Join the dynamic Food & Beverage team at Conrad Singapore Orchard as a Sommelier for the Summer Palace outlet. You will lead the wine program, deliver expert recommendations, and create memorable dining experiences for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in daily restaurant operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, especially during peak service periods.
• Provide expert wine recommendations during "golden time" and support the service team.
• Collaborate with the Restaurant General Manager on sales and marketing plans aligned with the wine program.
• Manage the wine and beverage budget, control costs, and drive profitability through strategic pricing and upselling.
• Maintain high standards of wine service, pairing, and presentation in coordination with the kitchen.
• Oversee inventory, stocking, and supplier relationships to keep the wine list current.
• Prepare regular reports on wine sales, inventory, and operational performance.
• Partner with training and housekeeping teams to ensure staff development and a clean dining environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Sommelier or in a senior wine service role within a fine‑dining or upscale hotel setting.
• Strong knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and food pairings.
• Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and achieve sales targets.
• Excellent communication and guest‑service skills.
• Team‑oriented mindset with experience training and developing staff.
