Staff Accountant (Forensic Accounting)

About the role

As a Staff Accountant within MDD Forensic Accountants, you will support forensic and litigation teams by analysing financial data, conducting inventory checks and preparing reports that underpin litigation, arbitration and mediation cases worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse sales, production and other client‑provided accounting data to assess business performance and loss events.
• Perform physical inventory observations and price testing.
• Examine source documents relevant to engagements and proof reports and schedules.
• Conduct phone or in‑person interviews to gather information for investigations.
• Attend marketing events and client functions as required.

Required profile

• Degree in accounting or finance with post‑graduate work experience.
• Willingness to obtain a globally‑recognised accounting qualification.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability and capacity to work under pressure.
• Team‑player who can also work independently and communicate confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to travel internationally as assignments demand.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with accounting software (preferred).
