Staff Nurse

About the role

The nursing home is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to deliver high‑quality, specialised nursing care to residents. You will work closely with doctors, allied health professionals and the multidisciplinary team to ensure each resident receives safe, person‑centred care.

Key responsibilities

• Comply with approved nursing standards and provide specialised nursing services.
• Collaborate with the resident’s doctor and multidisciplinary team to assess and update care plans.
• Administer medications safely, manage control drugs, and supervise new admission assessments.
• Monitor resident responses to interventions and recommend care‑plan revisions as needed.
• Initiate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures with allied health professionals.
• Participate in training, emergency management, and maintaining a safe, clean environment.
• Engage in quality‑assurance activities, audits, and staff rostering.
• Support performance appraisals and take on additional duties assigned by nursing management.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent Diploma in Nursing.
• Valid SNB registration and Practical Certificate.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience.
• BCLS and AED certification.
• Completed InterRai LTCF Assessment.
• Proficient in basic computer skills.
• Willingness to work 12‑hour rotating shifts.
