Staff Nurse – St. Andrew's Nursing Home

About the role

The Senior Staff Nurse/Staff Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to residents in St. Andrew's Nursing Home. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans for residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Resident Care – assess health conditions, develop personalized care plans, administer medications, monitor vital signs, provide wound care and assist with ADLs.
• Supervision and Mentorship – supervise junior nursing staff and aides, provide guidance, conduct training sessions and ensure up‑to‑date nursing practices.
• Communication and Coordination – liaise with residents, families and healthcare professionals, participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and care plan reviews.
• Quality Improvement – take part in quality initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, conduct audits and engage in continuous education.
• Documentation – maintain accurate medical records in the healthcare system and promptly report changes in resident conditions.
• Safety and Infection Control – uphold a safe environment, follow infection control policies and promote proper hand hygiene.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board.
• Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 2‑3 years nursing experience, preferably in geriatric or long‑term care.
• BCLS and AED certification.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of geriatric care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Leadership and supervisory experience.
