Strategic Communications & Media Relations Manager

About the role

The Land Transport Authority is seeking an experienced professional to lead strategic communications and media relations. In this senior position you will shape and execute communication strategies that raise public awareness of LTA’s initiatives and policies, while managing media engagement and crisis response.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement integrated communications strategies aligned with LTA projects and policies.
• Monitor public sentiment, identify communication gaps, and design activities to bridge perception differences.
• Create communication assets such as news releases, presentations, and factsheets.
• Pitch and facilitate media stories, interviews, press conferences, and media tours.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists and media outlets.
• Prepare public positions, respond to media queries, and execute crisis communication plans.

Required profile

• Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in public sector communications.
• Strong writing and editing abilities.
• Experience in crisis communications and stakeholder management.
• Interest or understanding of Singapore’s transport landscape is a plus.
