Strategic Planning Assistant Manager / Manager

About the role

The position supports West Hospital’s strategic direction by shaping short‑ and long‑term corporate goals, monitoring performance, and ensuring alignment across clinical and administrative units. Reporting to senior leadership, the role combines analytical research, stakeholder engagement, and project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine short‑ and long‑term corporate strategies, conduct research and analysis, and prepare presentation materials for senior leadership.
• Design and maintain strategic performance metrics, monitor organisational KPIs, and produce reports that translate data into actionable insights.
• Manage the annual institution‑wide workplan cycle, including strategic focus setting, stakeholder engagement, departmental plan reviews, and follow‑up on high‑priority initiatives.
• Plan and execute the Senior Management Retreat, handling programme design, content development, stakeholder facilitation, and post‑retreat alignment.
• Oversee corporate governance activities such as capital expenditure post‑implementation reviews and policy updates for new thematic units and clinical services.
• Collaborate with clinical leads on service‑strategy development and lead special projects such as hospital strategy papers and pilot initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Public Health, Strategy or related fields.
• 5–7 years of experience in strategy, healthcare management, corporate planning, consulting or a comparable discipline.
• Strong analytical ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable recommendations.
