About the role
Alcon is seeking a Manager, Strategic Sourcing to support the Procurement Head in driving the site procurement strategy in Singapore. You will ensure compliance, secure reliable supply, and manage supplier relationships across the manufacturing operation.
Key responsibilities
- Manage all sourcing activities and commercial negotiations for MTO site requirements.
- Lead strategic procurement plans, alternate sourcing, and major CAPEX contract execution.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities to achieve savings and positive PPV.
- Ensure procurement compliance with Alcon global policies and support internal/external audits.
- Lead vendor performance, contract negotiations, renewals, and compliance.
- Provide timely reporting on procurement indices and monitor market dynamics.
- Support implementation of global procurement systems and tools.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification (preferred).
- 8‑10 years of procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing technical operation.
- Familiarity with SAP and Ariba is a plus.
- Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
