Structural Engineer - Large Infrastructure Project

About the role

Citadel Search is recruiting an experienced Structural Engineer to oversee and manage structural design works on a large infrastructure project. The engineer reviews design packages, coordinates with consultants and authorities, and provides technical leadership to resolve design and engineering challenges on site. Key responsibilities

• Review design packages and prepare and approve shop drawings for reinforced concrete structural works, temporary works and permanent works, including steel structures, struts and walers.
• Design temporary works such as scaffolding, falsework and formwork in line with structural design requirements.
• Coordinate structural design with civil consultants, accredited checkers, architectural/SWC consultants, the construction team and authorities where required.
• Act as a design checker, resolving design matters and reviewing shop drawings.
• Manage and resolve issues relating to production, quality, design and engineering, and project scheduling.
• Develop shop drawings, including structural steel fabrication drawings and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS).

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• At least 3 years of engineering experience in civil and structural works.
• Infrastructure project experience; experience on LTA projects or underground roadway projects is an advantage.
• Experience in design management and coordination with consultants; a consultancy background is an added advantage.
• Open to working 5.5 days (Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm; Saturday, 8am to 12pm).

Required skills

• Proficiency in structural design and analysis software, including STAAD and AutoCAD or MicroStation.
