Student Management Officer – Primary School (Term-Time)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Student Management Officer to join the student management team at Tampines Primary School on a term‑time, contract basis. The role focuses on handling peer conflicts, bullying reports and student conduct, working closely with Form Teachers and Year Heads to support early intervention and positive development.

Key responsibilities

• Gather objective accounts from students and witnesses to build unbiased incident reports.
• Conduct interviews, review behavioural context and maintain comprehensive case documentation to support Year Heads.
• Facilitate restorative conversations and conflict‑resolution dialogues under guidance.
• Provide factual updates to parents or guardians in partnership with Year Heads and Form Teachers.
• Maintain a visible presence during recess, detentions, examinations and student transitions to ensure a safe environment, and promptly escalate serious safety concerns.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Youth Work, Education or related behavioural discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of direct experience working with children or youth, preferably in school or community youth settings.
• Strong active listening and communication skills, with ability to stay calm, impartial and non‑judgmental in high‑emotion situations.
• Excellent documentation skills for clear case notes and progression reports.
• High integrity and ability to handle sensitive family records with strict confidentiality.
