Student Management Officer – Tampines

About the role

The Student Management Officer will support the school community by handling student conduct matters, providing guidance, and ensuring a safe learning environment. This role involves direct interaction with students, parents, and staff to resolve conflicts and maintain accurate records.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct fact‑finding and respond to inquiries related to student conduct.
• Engage students, offering appropriate support and counseling.
• Facilitate restorative conversations and conflict‑resolution activities.
• Assist with parent/guardian communication on management issues.
• Escalate safety, well‑being, and serious misconduct cases as needed.
• Supervise students during recess, examinations, detention, and movement periods.
• Maintain accurate case records and provide updates.
• Monitor behaviour and attendance during detention and refer disciplinary matters.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Youth Work, Education or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years experience working with children or youths.
• Experience in student discipline, case management, counselling or behaviour management is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
• Good judgement, integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
