Supplier Account Manager (B4)

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials engineering solutions for chips and advanced displays, is hiring a Supplier Account Manager (B4) in Singapore. The role manages the company's supplier relationships and commodity strategy, with travel of about 10% of the time and relocation eligibility.

Key responsibilities

• Align and implement commodity strategies.
• Maintain agreements with suppliers that define the structure of all business relationships with the supply base.
• Engage with the PLC process to ensure alignment with commodity strategies.
• Handle new supplier introductions and disengagements with the supply base.
• Support resolution of systemic supply chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery or lead time.

Required profile

• Conceptual and practical expertise in your own discipline, with basic knowledge of related disciplines.
• Knowledge of best practices and how your area fits with others, awareness of the competition and market differentiators.
• Ability to act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and to lead small, low-risk projects.
• Problem-solving across complex issues, using judgment based on multiple sources of information.
• Impact across customer, operational, project or service activities within your team and related teams.
• Interpersonal skills, including explaining difficult or sensitive information and building consensus.
