Supplier Account Manager

About the role

The Supplier Account Manager will lead the development and execution of commodity strategies, ensuring strong relationships with the supply base. This role is responsible for negotiating agreements, managing supplier performance, and driving cost‑reduction initiatives that support Applied Materials' global manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, align, and implement commodity strategies across the supply base.
• Negotiate and maintain supplier agreements that define business relationships.
• Coordinate new supplier introductions and disengagements as required.
• Resolve systemic supply‑chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery, or lead‑time, including engagement with sub‑tier suppliers.
• Identify and present high‑level cost‑reduction opportunities to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Demonstrates in‑depth understanding of concepts, theories, and principles within the procurement function.
• Applies industry knowledge to contribute to business objectives.
• Manages a homogeneous team, adapting plans to meet operational challenges.
