Supply Chain Solutions Architect (SAP MM)

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductors and advanced displays, is hiring a Supply Chain Solutions Architect (SAP MM) in Singapore. The role requires deep expertise in global supply chain processes and technologies, and acts as a trusted technology partner across business and functional groups such as Sales, Operations, Engineering, Service, Finance and Manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret complex business challenges, recommend industry best practices and solve complex problems with an end-to-end perspective.
• Design and configure complex cross-functional business processes and application solutions, translating them into functional and technical specifications.
• Oversee application configuration, data conversions and testing strategies (unit, integration, performance, UAT).
• Provide and oversee business application support, performance tuning, incident root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
• Manage project and service budgets, cost models and cost optimization, and plan lifecycle activities such as patches, point releases and major upgrades.
• Ensure adherence to IT governance frameworks (project management, SDLC, testing, service management, change management) and support SOX compliance, including controls, documentation and audit coordination.
• Plan and manage medium to large-scale cross-functional initiatives and oversee contingent resources, including onboarding, workload assignment and approval of time and cost submissions.
• Lead system integrations and data flows across ERPs, planning, logistics, manufacturing and analytics platforms, and partner with business and risk teams on technology-related supply chain risks.
• Evaluate opportunities to modernize platforms through automation, analytics and AI-driven capabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree.
• 7 to 10 years of experience.
• Over 7 years implementing SAP and non-SAP solutions in supply chain and related areas.
• Expertise in sourcing and procurement, with broad knowledge of planning, manufacturing and logistics.
• Ability to lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk and complexity.

Required skills

• Hands-on SAP MM functional and configuration experience.
• Working knowledge of some non-SAP supply chain applications.
• Technical and analytical skills for troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and solution delivery.
• Familiarity with AI tools applied to business processes and productivity.
