Sustainability Innovation Project Lead

About the role

The Sustainability Innovation Project Lead will join the APAC Innovation Station in Singapore to drive high‑impact projects that advance circular economy, low‑carbon solutions and overall sustainable development for the transportation sector. The role combines strategic planning, cross‑functional leadership and hands‑on execution to deliver proof‑of‑concepts, new services and business models.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, frame and prioritize strategic sustainability challenges across the organisation.
• Define innovative, scalable solutions – new concepts, business models, technologies or partnerships – aligned with corporate sustainability goals.
• Create and maintain a pipeline of innovation opportunities and select projects for development.
• Develop clear project visions, objectives, success criteria and executable roadmaps; lead projects through validation, launch and initial deployment.
• Manage timelines, budgets, resources and risks; coordinate cross‑functional teams and external partners.
• Conduct market studies, customer interviews and partner identification; analyse regulatory contexts such as carbon finance and waste management.
• Oversee lab testing, MVP development, financial analysis and business‑plan creation.
• Report progress, insights and results to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in innovation project management.
• Background or training in sustainability; experience with circular‑economy projects is a plus.
• Engineering or related technical degree.
• Proven ability to work with innovation frameworks, tools and project‑management methodologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
