SVP, Investment Counsellor (North Asia Market), Private Banking

About the role

DBS Private Banking offers a one-stop, full-service touch-point for total banking requirements, with a team of experienced investment advisors who identify opportunities across asset classes and partner with DBS network partners and global institutions to build long-term relationships with Private Banking clients in Asia. This Senior Vice President Investment Counsellor role covers the North Asia market within the Consumer Banking Group.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advisory and investment services in private banking to high net worth clients, delivering professional, high-value service
• Jointly develop and maintain client relationships with Relationship Managers, giving prompt market information, portfolio investment advice and execution services
• Partner with Relationship Managers to review and monitor client portfolios and develop appropriate investment strategies
• Perform regulated activities while ensuring full compliance with the Bank's policies, standards, guidelines and procedures and with regulatory authority requirements

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Business or a related discipline; CFA preferred
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in wealth or portfolio management
• Solid understanding of financial and investment markets, with an analytical mind and sensitivity to market trends
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage clients and Relationship Managers effectively

The position is based in DBS Asia Central, on a regular schedule, full-time.
