Syndication Manager (Corporate Banking)

About the role

A growing Asian bank is looking for a Syndication Manager (Corporate Banking) to join its Singapore office. The role supports the origination of new financing opportunities and covers the full life of syndicated loans, from client relationships and due diligence to execution, monitoring and portfolio management.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and nurture relationships with potential clients and conduct market research and industry trend analysis
• Review and support loan extensions across industrial sectors by doing due diligence and preparing credit applications for the internal credit committee
• Manage execution from loan documentation and drawdown to monitoring, including liaising with parties on financing documents, negotiating terms with borrowers and coordinating with other banks
• Arrange syndicated loans and the services needed for execution, management and monitoring
• Oversee the loan portfolio throughout its lifespan, handling borrower requests such as amendments and waivers, and performing credit reviews on executed deals
• Support liquidity and portfolio management, including assisting the treasury team in planning fund supply and demand, and contribute to business strategy and credit policies

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field
• 7-10 years of relevant experience in investment banking, including corporate financing, project/structured financing and syndicated loans
• Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, ACCA, ACA or CAIA preferred

Required skills

• Strong understanding of financial statements and financial analysis
• Understanding of market practices in syndicated loan operations
• Solid knowledge of credit lending, risk assessment, syndicated financing, debt restructuring, PE investments and relevant regulations
• Ability to use the tools and analytical methods needed to perform the work
