System Analyst

About the role

The System Analyst will lead a team of developers and manage the full lifecycle of card‑related applications on a mainframe platform. The role involves designing technical solutions, estimating effort, and ensuring delivery aligns with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of developers and manage system development, implementation and support for card‑related mainframe applications.
• Work closely with business users to analyse change requests, review enhancements and ensure compatibility with operating guidelines.
• Produce solution designs, effort estimations and project documentation in accordance with bank standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve functional issues and oversee end‑to‑end functional deliveries.
• Support SIT and UAT activities, triage defects and guide business on parameter setup.
• Troubleshoot, debug and provide production support for the mainframe applications.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a developer with strong system integration/interfacing background.
• Ability to support application delivery, code, script and build new systems or interfaces as needed.
• Experience documenting work and transferring knowledge to production teams post‑cutover.
• Capability to collaborate with senior developers and system architects to formulate fit‑for‑purpose technical solutions.
• Familiarity with security, regulatory and architectural standards.
