System Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a System Engineer to ensure the reliability and performance of our Linux and Windows infrastructure. You will work closely with development and operations teams to support production deployments, monitor system health, and resolve incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Support production deployments, maintenance, and system upgrades during off‑peak hours and on‑call periods.
• Monitor system health, application performance, and alerts; perform incident triage and escalation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system, network, and performance issues.
• Administer Linux and Windows servers, including configuration, security hardening, patching, and user access management.
• Maintain technical documentation such as runbooks, SOPs, and system configurations.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network components (DNS, firewalls, routing, connectivity).
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to improve reliability, security, and availability.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows Server, including command‑line interfaces, file systems, and permissions.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, firewalls, subnetting).
• Ability to troubleshoot system, server, network, and connectivity issues.
• Willingness to support after‑hours deployments, maintenance windows, and on‑call duties.
• Hands‑on experience with OS configuration, server administration, and automation tools.
• Proficiency in scripting with Bash and/or PowerShell.
