System Engineer

About the role

NCS, a technology services firm operating across the Asia Pacific region, is looking for a detail-oriented, collaborative System Engineer in Singapore. You will design, implement and maintain the system infrastructure that supports the organization's operations, combining technical expertise with a customer-focused approach.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage software and hardware systems across the organization's infrastructure
• Configure and maintain network connectivity, routers and related network components
• Carry out system implementation projects, including network setup, infrastructure deployment and application integration
• Troubleshoot systems and resolve technical issues independently while keeping stakeholders informed
• Monitor system performance, analyse metrics and optimise configurations to meet service level agreements
• Maintain technical documentation, system drawings and configuration records
• Work with cross-functional teams, vendors and clients on system implementations and support delivery
• Conduct site surveys and interpret technical specifications and as-built documentation
• Respond to incidents quickly to minimise downtime
• Support the onboarding and training of team members and recommend process improvements

Required profile

• Diploma in Information Technology, Electrical/Electronic, Information Systems or equivalent
• At least 3 years of experience in systems administration, configuration and troubleshooting
• Ability to work independently and communicate technical concepts clearly, written and verbally
• Experience with system monitoring tools and performance optimization
• Project management experience and familiarity with IT service delivery frameworks; vendor management experience is a plus
