System Integration Engineer – ATM Systems

About the role

Sopra Steria's Singapore office, which is the regional headquarters for its Infrastructure, Cloud and Cybersecurity services, is hiring a System Integration Engineer. The engineer works for a client, a global leader in aerospace, defence and digital security, supporting the NexGen ATMS Program that upgrades the operational system of the Airspace Mobility Solutions (AMS) business, which provides Air Traffic Management, Unmanned Traffic Management, Security and Digital Aviation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate software and hardware components of a complex, software-centred ATM system and coordinate integration activities
• Integrate and test incremental software releases for systems and subsystems on schedule
• Set up environments for integration, testing and acceptance, and advise on environment setup for validation
• Define regression, interface, simulation scenario and test tool tests across platforms
• Analyse and log technical and functional issues early, and work with System, Subsystem and Infrastructure teams
• Produce and review engineering documentation such as System Integration Test Documentation, in line with configuration management
• Write scripts to automate system administration and manage performance, loading and response-time test tools
• Support junior integrators and V&V teams, and help Technical Leads and WPM identify risks and mitigate them
• Work with the customer and deliver integration training, and share knowledge across projects

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or equivalent experience
• 3+ years in roles integrating complex software-centric real-time systems
• 3+ years understanding and troubleshooting virtualisation platforms and operating systems
• 3+ years of scripting (Python, Shell, XML)
• English fluency, written and spoken
• Eligibility for Singapore Ministry of Home Affairs security clearance (CAT 2)

Required skills

• Linux/Unix, SNMP, RSYSLOG, Windows, VMware
• Ansible, Jenkins, Git (Bitbucket), Jira
• Cybersecurity basics: LDAP, AD, PKI
• Network protocols: SNMP, UDP, TCP/IP; debugging tools such as Wireshark
• Desirable: Java, C++, site integration and deployment experience, network configuration, large project integration (preferably ATC-related)
