Technical Project/Program Management

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductors and advanced displays, is hiring for a Technical Project/Program Management position in Singapore. The role covers planning, scheduling and reporting of projects, with coordination of internal resources and occasional contact with external suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Become an expert on MDP product lines.
• Help prepare project plans and coordinate project activities from planning through implementation.
• Maintain a matrix for process improvements.
• Coordinate project schedules and task details, and help prepare reports, tracking charts, checklists and project schedules.
• Align the progress of internal business-unit resources to meet on-time and budget objectives.
• Track project costs and schedules for internal and external customers.
• Occasionally interface with external suppliers and report progress against quality and cost metrics.
• Interface with internal customers and report progress against project objectives.

Required profile

• Customer Engineer experience with at least one Applied Materials product; MDP preferred.
• Engineering degree preferred.
• Able to travel to and from customer sites internationally.
• Situational leadership, including informal guidance to new team members.
• Ability to communicate at all levels of the business and to set up cross-functional teams.

Required skills

• Use of Applied Materials systems, including SAP, Co-Pilot and Teamcenter.
• Executive-style reporting.
• Understanding of 8D problem-solving methodology.
