Technical Project/Program Management Manager

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductors and advanced displays, is hiring a Technical Project/Program Management manager in Singapore. The role covers end-to-end management of a large complex project or several medium-sized projects through a team led by team leads, with full people management responsibility for the assigned group.

Key responsibilities

• Define project and program objectives and complete preliminary activities such as outcome determination, milestones, viability studies and resource planning.
• Ensure projects and programs are completed according to requirements, with attention to product/process specifications, costs, resource use and timeliness.
• Document all phases of project, program and process development and report, disseminate or transfer the required information to other functions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, including engineering/lab notebooks, patents, confidentiality, ISO standards, safety and others.
• Use material and financial resources effectively and assign work to subordinate staff while supporting their professional development.
• Lead research and development of new technologies and ensure new processes, designs and methodologies are incorporated into products or shared across the company.
• Use computing resources to optimize design development and timelines, and resolve complex department-wide operational problems.

Required profile

• In-depth understanding of concepts, theories and principles in the own job family and basic knowledge of related fields.
• Understanding of the industry and how the area contributes to achieving objectives.
• Ability to manage a generally homogeneous team and adapt plans and priorities to operational challenges.
• Ability to identify and resolve technical, operational and organizational problems, and to guide, influence and persuade others internally and externally.
• Compliance with Applied Materials' global Standards of Business Conduct and ethical conduct.
