Technical Support Specialist

About the role

The Technical Support Specialist will ensure the stability, security, and performance of OPUS IT Services' IT infrastructure supporting Changi Airport operations. You will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to resolve incidents and maintain high availability of critical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and administer Windows servers and domain environments.
• Support VMware vSphere and other virtualization platforms.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and LAN environments.
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for network, hardware, system, and performance issues.
• Monitor infrastructure with SolarWinds and perform proactive anomaly detection.
• Conduct system health checks, backup validation, recovery procedures, and fault troubleshooting.
• Manage incidents, escalations, and service restoration following ITIL processes.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders during incidents and scheduled maintenance.
• Maintain accurate network diagrams, SOPs, technical documentation, and change records.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems support, or networking.
• Experience in 24x7, mission‑critical, airport or large‑scale environments.
• Customer‑facing or stakeholder coordination experience.
• Willingness to learn and support multiple technologies.

• Windows Server administration

• Palo Alto or Fortinet firewall management
• SolarWinds monitoring
• Basic SQL/database knowledge
• CCNA certification (advantage)
• Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, or ITIL certifications (advantage)
