Technical Trainer

About the role

The Technical Trainer delivers standard or moderately customized technical training courses for Applied Materials’ semiconductor and display equipment, both on‑site and at customer locations worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Present standard or customized technical training courses using prepared or tailored materials.
• Conduct training at customer sites, involving short domestic and international travel.
• Manage classroom and lab activities to ensure course objectives are met.
• Present and practice safety procedures; may train during off‑shift or weekends as assigned.
• Maintain product technical knowledge and complete certifications for product courses and safety modules.
• Develop new training materials, including courses for new products and customized content for specific customers.
• Review system maintenance to ensure training systems support course objectives and safety retrofits are installed.
• Support marketing of technical courses, build customer relationships, and assist in selling training products.
• Communicate with product groups for course updates and represent technical training in meetings.
• Participate in new product final testing, develop procedures, and create technical documentation.

Required profile

• Relevant qualifications in Engineering or related studies.
• Prior experience in training within the semiconductor, manufacturing, or electronics industry.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to support second‑shift training and work at multiple locations as needed.
