Technician II, Production Technical Operations

About the role

The Technician II supports manufacturing of contact lenses in a cleanroom environment, operating equipment, performing sterilisation, and ensuring the highest quality standards. The role requires strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and data‑integrity principles while working closely with cross‑functional teams to meet production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing and packaging equipment for contact lenses.
• Run autoclave cycles to sterilise lenses within a 12‑hour window.
• Perform in‑process checks such as visual lens inspection and operator packaging checks.
• Execute simple machine set‑ups, e.g., ink changes.
• Support maintenance activities and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Maintain 5S standards on the production floor.
• Participate in Kaizen projects for continuous improvement.
• Handle physical tasks: push 300 kg carts, transfer magazines (3.05 kg each), and perform lot‑change activities while squatting or standing for extended periods.

Required profile

• Ability to work safely in a regulated cleanroom environment.
• Understanding of GMP, GxP cleaning, and data‑integrity requirements.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive lifting, pushing, and prolonged standing or squatting.
• Team‑oriented mindset to collaborate with cross‑functional colleagues.
