Technician III, Chemical Production Operations

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Technician III to join its Chemical Production Department at the Tuas plant. The role involves executing both routine and non‑routine chemical formulation processes for lens materials, PAA supply tank, phosphate buffer solution, and saline, while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and non‑routine processes in chemical production operations.
• Manage and maintain calibration, documentation, inventory (cycle count), maintenance and compliance for chemical production.
• Maintain training on technical, quality compliance and safety SOPs.
• Participate in or initiate projects to improve process efficiency and reduce operating costs.
• Follow Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) guidelines and report unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Handle chemicals safely and oversee waste disposal.
• Support implementation of the Data Integrity (DI) program for the site.

Required profile

• Diploma in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, production operations, GMP/GDP manufacturing or related sectors.
• Ability to lift loads up to 25‑30 kg.
• Forklift licence is an advantage.
