About the role
Alcon is seeking a Technician III for its Quality Control Lab within the Analytical team. The role involves performing QC testing on raw materials, in‑process components and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications.
Key responsibilities
- Perform testing according to SOPs and ensure right‑first‑time results.
- Review and approve test results and laboratory records.
- Support Kaizen projects and maintain 5S standards.
- Assist with equipment calibration, preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
- Manage inventory, register standards/reagents in LIMS and communicate results to requestors.
Required profile
- Diploma in Chemistry, Microbiology or related science (1‑3 years experience) or NITEC with 3‑5 years experience.
- Willingness to work day‑shift pattern (3‑2‑2).
Required skills
- Experience with analytical instruments such as GC and HPLC.
- Familiarity with LIMS for sample tracking.
- Basic equipment calibration and preventive maintenance procedures.
