Temporary Senior Financial Analyst

About the role

NHG is hiring a temporary Senior Financial Analyst to analyse and report on the monthly, quarterly and annual financial performance of institutions within the organisation, covering actuals, forecasts and budgets. The role also supports budgeting, consolidation and statutory reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and report on the financial performance of institutions (actuals, forecast, budget) and key ratios
• Assist in the annual budget and projection cycles, including budget assumptions and templates
• Prepare consolidation of financials for management and statutory reporting, including Group and company statements
• Review accuracy of headcount and patient volumes consolidated, and reformat consolidation spreadsheets when the group structure changes
• Support guidance on FRS compliance and finance policy for new and developing accounting matters
• Act as main liaison with 1FSS, site finance and auditors on audit requirements, and liaise with MOHH and MOH on reporting
• Coordinate the annual external audit, prepare timelines and liaise with the external auditor and Synapxe consultants
• Harmonise the Chart of Accounts across clusters so that mapping in SAP and BPC is aligned
• Collate data and analyse it to support management decisions, such as tracking AR days, bad debt write-offs and productivity ratios
• Help identify ways to improve productivity and cost management, and carry out other ad hoc work

Required profile

• Recognised degree in Accountancy
• At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
• Prior external audit and consolidation experience required
• Analytical, motivated and independent, with good communication skills and ability to meet tight deadlines

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• SAP and BPC are an added advantage
