Temporary Supervisor, Visitor Management & Screening (4 Months)

About the role

NHG is looking for a Temporary Supervisor for its Visitor Management Services (VMS) team, on a 4-month contract. The VMS Supervisor reports to the Senior Manager, VMS and ensures the smooth delivery of hospital visitor management operations. You will oversee daily operations at Visitor Registration Centres (VRCs), supervise outsourced Customer Service Officers (CSOs) and work with stakeholders to give patients, visitors and staff a safe and positive experience.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support outsourced CSOs so they comply with MOH guidelines, hospital policies and VMS procedures.
• Oversee daily operations across Visitor Registration Centres and maintain consistent service standards.
• Give on-site guidance, coaching and issue resolution support to frontline staff.
• Coordinate with wards, Security, Facilities Management, IT Support and other stakeholders.
• Manage service recovery and respond promptly to operational issues and escalated feedback.
• Maintain inventory and keep supplies and equipment ready for operation.
• Troubleshoot visitor management systems at a basic level and coordinate with vendors and IT teams when needed.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and support departmental initiatives and projects.
• Take part in emergency planning, preparedness exercises and operational activations when required.
• Help review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Standard Work Instructions (SWI).

Required profile

• Diploma, GCE A-Level, GCE O-Level or equivalent qualification preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Supervisory, customer service, healthcare operations or people management experience is an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage with staff, patients and visitors.
• Customer-focused, with good problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer systems and operational IT applications.
• Basic troubleshooting of visitor management systems.
