Testing & Commissioning Engineer – Power Transformer

About the role

We are seeking a Testing & Commissioning Engineer to lead the installation, testing and commissioning of power transformers across project and customer sites in Singapore. You will work closely with customers, contractors and internal teams to ensure safe and successful transformer deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate transformer installation, testing and commissioning activities with customers, contractors, vendors and site teams.
• Supervise and support site preparation, assembly and installation of power transformers.
• Perform or oversee electrical testing, pre‑commissioning checks and final energisation of transformers and associated equipment.
• Review electrical drawings, schematics, test procedures and technical specifications.
• Analyse test results, identify abnormalities and support troubleshooting and corrective actions.
• Ensure testing complies with project, quality and safety requirements.
• Prepare testing records, commissioning reports, service reports and other technical documentation.
• Provide technical support for transformer servicing, inspection and site‑related issues.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in electrical installation, testing, commissioning or servicing of power transformers or high‑voltage equipment.
• Strong knowledge of power transformers, electrical systems and testing principles.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
• Good troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills.
• Capability to work independently on site‑based engineering activities.
