Trade Compliance Consultant

About the role

Caterpillar's Trade Center of Excellence (TCOE) within Law, Security & Public Policy is looking for a Regional Trade Compliance Analyst (listed as Trade Compliance Consultant) to support Singapore and Australia. The role turns trade requirements into practical solutions and acts as a trusted business partner, strengthening controls and embedding compliance in day-to-day operations. It is a five-day-a-week onsite position.

Key responsibilities

• Support customs and trade compliance risk assessments, identify gaps and help implement mitigation actions.
• Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining trade compliance policies, procedures, controls and processes.
• Work with business divisions, legal and compliance teams to give practical trade compliance guidance across the India region.
• Deliver training on trade, customs and regulatory requirements relevant to Caterpillar's products, services and technologies.
• Communicate risks, recommendations, progress and outcomes clearly to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs processes, import/export controls and compliance program requirements.
• Ability to evaluate complex issues, assess risk and recommend practical solutions.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with business, legal, compliance and external stakeholders.
• Ability to explain regulatory requirements clearly and deliver effective training.
• Top candidates will have demonstrated expertise in trade compliance, customs or import/export operations, and experience supporting, developing or managing compliance processes and controls.
