Trade Compliance & Permit Declaration Team Lead

About the role

The Trade Compliance & Permit Declaration Team Lead will oversee daily TradeNet permit submissions, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with customs authorities and clients. This senior position is based at the East – Changi Airfreight Centre and operates on a rotating shift schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily TradeNet permit declarations, ACES submissions, and related reporting.
• Coach and train declaration staff to maintain high accuracy and efficiency.
• Liaise with Singapore Customs, government agencies, and clients on permit issues, exceptions, and rejections.
• Track turnaround times to meet service level commitments and maintain audit‑ready records.
• Monitor regulatory changes, update processes, and support internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in permit declaration or trade compliance.
• Customs Competency Test for Declarants certification (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of Singapore TradeNet, the Customs Act, and FTA documentation.
• Familiarity with customs documents such as COO, invoices, AWB, and HS codes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with TradeNet front‑end declaration software.
• Advanced use of MS Office applications.
