Trade Compliance Specialist – Singapore (US Export Licensing Support)

About the role

The Trade Compliance Specialist based in Singapore will ensure that all export transactions comply with U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and Singapore export controls. The role supports licensing activities, coordinates logistics for international shipments, and analyses trade data to drive compliance improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Review and monitor transactions for compliance with U.S. export regulations (EAR) and Singapore export controls.
• Identify licensing requirements, prepare export documentation, and assist with license applications and product classifications.
• Maintain accurate compliance records in internal systems such as SAP GTS.
• Coordinate logistics operations with supply‑chain teams to ensure shipments meet regulatory and delivery requirements.
• Monitor supply‑chain performance, escalate issues, and support audits and internal reviews.
• Analyze trade data using Excel, Power BI or Tableau and prepare reports for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in international business, supply‑chain management or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in export compliance, global trade operations, or freight forwarding.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of U.S. export regulations (EAR) and Singapore export controls.
• Advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Proficiency with Power BI or Tableau (a plus).
• Experience with SAP GTS or similar trade compliance systems (a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
