Trade Finance Manager – Oil & Gas

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Trade Finance Manager to join an established oil and gas trading house in Singapore. The role focuses on managing Letter of Credit (LC) documentation and ensuring compliance with global trade regulations and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process LC documentation in line with UCP600 and company guidelines.
• Collaborate with banks, traders, logistics teams, and internal finance, legal, and trading departments to facilitate smooth LC transactions.
• Monitor changes in international trade regulations and banking standards to maintain ongoing compliance.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with LC transactions as part of the broader risk‑management strategy.
• Resolve discrepancies with financial institutions to ensure timely LC settlements.
• Drive process improvements and implement best practices to enhance LC operations efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Proven experience handling trade documentation, preferably within the oil and gas sector.
• Strong analytical ability and meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across multiple stakeholders.
• Experience in risk identification and mitigation for LC transactions.
