Transport Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Transport Analyst to own freight cost control, transporter performance and day‑to‑day transport operations at our Distribution Center in Singapore. You will analyse spend, manage logistics service providers and drive process automation to support sustainable, cost‑effective transport solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct freight spend analysis, trend monitoring and invoice verification, and present findings to business areas.
• Manage Logistics Service Provider (LSP) selection, RFQs and onboarding of new transporters.
• Coordinate urgent order handling, reduce Vehicle Off‑Road (VOR) incidents and CO₂ emissions.
• Track inbound containers and air shipments, analyse deviations and support supply planning.
• Implement automation technologies, create digital dashboards and align best practices across the regional network.
• Apply Volvo Performance System methodologies to solve problems and support ad‑hoc projects.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field, or ≥5 years relevant experience.
• Strong customer and dealer focus with high ownership and independent work capability.
• Analytical mindset, fact‑based decision making and continuous‑improvement orientation.
• Excellent written and spoken English; additional Asian language skills are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Experience building solutions in Power Apps.
• Familiarity with AI‑enabled tools for process automation (knowledge considered a strong plus).
