Trust & Safety Policy Specialist - Global

About the role

A global consumer internet platform with hundreds of millions of users across content, community, e-commerce and advertising is hiring a Trust & Safety Policy Specialist in Singapore. The role sits in the Trust & Safety Policy team and focuses on designing and evolving global content and community policies, turning high-level principles into operational standards and ensuring they are implemented across regions. It sits at the intersection of policy, product, legal and operations, and the client is hiring at multiple levels, including senior individual contributors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and continuously optimise global content and community policies, including community guidelines, advertising policies and creator policies, to ensure platform safety and ecosystem health.
• Translate policy principles into clear, actionable moderation standards and operational guidelines so moderation and review teams can enforce them consistently.
• Work closely with moderation/review, legal, product and engineering teams to ensure consistent understanding and smooth implementation.
• Identify and assess platform risks, monitor enforcement effectiveness, industry trends and emerging issues, and drive continuous policy iteration.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above; preferred backgrounds include law, public policy, international relations, media/communications or sociology.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in trust & safety, content policy, platform governance or related fields; international or cross-border experience preferred.
• Fluent English and strong cross-cultural communication skills, able to understand regional user behaviour and cultural nuances.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and multi-timezone global teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in global internet platforms such as YouTube, Meta or X.
• Familiarity with GDPR, DSA and COPPA.
• Experience handling cross-border content risks and global major incidents or sensitive events.
