Unix Linux System Administrator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Unix/Linux System Administrator to manage and support our RHEL, Solaris, AIX, and HP‑UX server environments. The role involves hands‑on patch, vulnerability, and cluster management in an SLA‑driven setting.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Linux/Unix servers (RHEL, Solaris, AIX, HP‑UX) and perform OS/hardware troubleshooting.
• Manage clustering solutions (Veritas, GPFS, geo‑cluster, multi‑node active/passive).
• Execute patch and vulnerability management using tools such as BigFix and SCCM.
• Assess patches, plan deployments, and automate pre‑ and post‑patch tasks.
• Maintain RAID configurations (RAID 0+1, 1, 5) and perform BIOS/firmware upgrades.
• Monitor logs, maintain server management tools, and ensure hardware/firmware compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of Linux/Unix system administration experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in an SLA‑driven environment.
• Willingness to work weekends on a roster and provide on‑call support.
