Urban Design Architect – Graduate (1-year Fixed-Term)

About the role

We are looking for a graduate with a Master’s in Architecture or Urban Design to join URA’s Architecture and Urban Design group. The role involves developing urban design guidelines, driving master‑planning projects and contributing to placemaking initiatives across strategic areas in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate comprehensive urban design and master‑planning plans, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and sustainability goals.
• Lead projects that integrate public space design, land‑use planning and community engagement, and create design guidelines and frameworks.
• Conduct research and develop policies and tools on liveability issues such as environmental modelling, sky‑view factor, carbon accounting and adaptive reuse.
• Organise exhibitions, design competitions, awards and knowledge‑sharing events, and produce publications that showcase urban design innovations.
• Plan and execute stakeholder events, manage logistics and ensure outcomes meet strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture, Urban Design, Urban Planning, Geography, Urban Studies, International Relations or a related field.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, project management and communication abilities.
• Proven experience building and managing relationships with international stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
• Proactive, creative mindset with a passion for urban development and global partnerships.
