Utilities Engineer

About the role

Citadel Search is seeking a Utilities Engineer to plan, coordinate and execute utility diversion works for large-scale underground infrastructure projects. The role covers utility routes and associated structures, ensuring works meet project requirements and timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and support utility works for a major underground project, covering scope, schedule and costs.
• Coordinate utility relocation and diversion routes with the utilities team and obtain approvals from authorities such as PUB, LTA and NEA.
• Carry out site assessments to identify existing utilities and manage diversion activities and support structures on site.
• Work with authorised subcontractors to carry out diversion tasks.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and implement preventive maintenance measures.
• Track and analyse utility system performance, including efficiency, energy and material usage.
• Oversee utility construction from scope definition through budgeting, scheduling and execution.
• Keep the Utility Manager updated on progress and recommend solutions to potential challenges.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
• Willingness to work a 5.5-day or 6-day week, 8am-6pm.
• Certification as a Registered Earthwork Supervisor with EMA/SPPG and a BCSS certificate are advantageous.
