Veterinary Affairs and Science Manager

About the role

At Nestlé Purina Petcare, the Veterinary Affairs and Science Manager will act as the regional champion for PRO PLAN veterinary communication, partnerships with key opinion leaders and education tools across the AOA region. The role is responsible for building awareness of PRO PLAN’s nutrition and scientific credentials, increasing veterinary recommendations and trust, and amplifying Purina Institute assets.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the veterinary communication strategy, delivering scientific messages to veterinarians through appropriate touchpoints and flagship materials.
• Plan and manage offline and online scientific events, webinars and KOL engagements, supporting brand and sales teams.
• Develop case studies and clinical trial collaborations with regional KOLs to strengthen brand awareness.
• Create and maintain digital tools such as the PRO PLAN Vet Center, ensuring content is distributed across markets.
• Manage relationships with veterinary KOLs, mapping and building long‑term partnerships to increase PRO PLAN recommendations.
• Represent the Purina Institute at regional scientific‑veterinary events, overseeing programme, logistics and brand communication standards.
• Provide nutritional and product knowledge training for internal and external audiences, including in‑clinic sessions.

Required profile

• DVM (veterinary education) is mandatory.
• Minimum 8 years of business experience, including marketing and communications within the pet‑food industry.
• Proven ability to build brands in the veterinary channel.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with the AOA veterinary environment and regional experience is a plus.
