Vice President, Communications

About the role

Citi’s Enterprise Services and Public Affairs (ESPA) is looking for a senior leader to shape and execute strategic communication plans for both internal and external audiences in Singapore. The role will drive media relations, crisis communications, social media strategy, and employee engagement while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies covering media relations, issues management, customer events, community relations, and internal campaigns.
• Lead external communications as the primary media contact, creating press releases, briefing documents, and managing crisis communication advisory.
• Design and execute internal communication programs, including town halls, talking points, and multi‑channel employee messaging.
• Oversee sponsorships and events, managing creative design, logistics, and senior‑leadership briefings.
• Ensure all communications meet legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements and monitor related budgets.

Required profile

• Significant experience in corporate communications within a fast‑paced global organization, agency, or journalism environment.
• Strong relationships with financial and business media, excellent written and spoken English, and proven crisis‑communication expertise.
• Ability to create and manage social‑media content and provide creative communication solutions.
• Detail‑oriented self‑starter with strong project‑management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for building a communications career.
