Video Producer

About the role

The Video Producer will plan, research, create, produce and present video content for So Drama! Entertainment and its key clients across multiple social media channels. The role combines storytelling, on‑camera hosting and end‑to‑end production to engage stakeholders and the public.

Key responsibilities

• Develop concepts, scripts and storyboards for news videos, short films, documentaries, web series, reality series and corporate videos.
• Film, host, edit and balance audio for a wide range of video formats, ensuring high visual and narrative quality.
• Source timely and relevant topics, turning current affairs and defence‑related matters into compelling video stories.
• Cover local and overseas events, producing event coverage, profile and feature videos with accompanying social‑media assets.
• Appear on‑camera as host when required and be ready for rapid deployment across Singapore and abroad.
• Adapt to on‑site constraints, manage fast‑cycle video production, and support digital crisis communication when needed.
• Continuously explore new technologies, platforms and software, experimenting with emerging tools to enhance content creation.

Required profile

• Degree (honours or merit) in communications, broadcast journalism, film/video production or a related field; polytechnic diploma holders with strong interest and experience are also considered.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience producing diverse video content, both short‑form and long‑form.
• Excellent command of English, strong storytelling ability, keen visual eye and attention to detail.
• Self‑disciplined, achievement‑oriented and able to work independently under time pressure and ambiguous situations.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a critical and innovative mindset.
• Passionate interest in current affairs, military/defence topics and emerging media‑technology trends.
