VP, Full Stack Engineer - Institutional Banking Group Technology

About the role

DBS is looking for a VP, Full Stack Engineer for its Institutional Banking Group Technology within Group Technology. The role leads the build-out of the Ecosystem Platform roadmap, sets engineering standards and practices, and provides technical leadership to development teams while working closely with application teams and architects.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the build-out of the Ecosystem Platform roadmap and raise the bar of engineering practices.
• Establish and own engineering practice, define software standards, patterns, methodologies and agile delivery approaches.
• Project manage and allocate development capacity, and ensure agreed architecture is implemented with agreed patterns.
• Run POCs, create patterns and frameworks, and turn requirements into architecture and blueprints based on proven design patterns and enterprise architecture guidance.
• Design solutions around microservices and APIs, decomposing monolithic applications in a Cloud/DevOps environment.
• Provide technical leadership through the SDLC, get the team's buy-in to designs, and act as the bridge between Enterprise/Application Architecture and Delivery.
• Manage the migration from in-house infrastructure to the cloud-based platform (AWS/VPC).

Required profile

• Minimum 7-10 years of experience designing and building large-scale applications in CI/CD, pair programming and test-driven development.
• Experience building delivery capability from the ground up and building balanced onshore/offshore teams.
• Agile development methodology experience.

Required skills

• AWS services (EC2, S3, CloudFront, IAM, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway)
• Cloud Foundry platform
• Data modelling in relational and NoSQL databases
• Java Spring Framework / Spring Cloud
• OAuth 2.0 / SAML 2.0, microservices, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins and Bitbucket
• Certifications in AWS, Java or J2EE are an added advantage
