VP, Regulatory Capital Reporting

About the role

A leading international banking institution is undergoing significant transformation within its regulatory reporting function and is looking for an experienced regulatory reporting professional to strengthen AIRB reporting capabilities while driving automation, governance and process excellence. The role is based in Singapore and is offered on a temporary basis, with work from home or hybrid options.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and review Basel capital reporting and regulatory disclosures under the AIRB framework.
• Ensure regulatory submissions are accurate, timely and compliant with banking regulations.
• Translate regulatory requirements into reporting methodologies, data controls and validation checks.
• Partner with Risk Modelling, Treasury, Finance and Data teams to safeguard the integrity of reporting outputs.
• Drive automation across data preparation, validation, reconciliation and reporting.
• Maintain documentation on data lineage, methodologies, assumptions and key controls.
• Analyse capital movements, reporting trends and emerging risks for senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Economics or a related discipline.
• Experience in regulatory reporting, Basel reporting, capital reporting or credit risk reporting.
• Strong understanding of AIRB methodologies and capital calculation concepts (PD, LGD, EAD, credit risk mitigation, RWA).
• Familiarity with Singapore banking regulations and MAS Notice 637 is advantageous.
• Proven experience improving controls, governance and reporting processes through automation.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL and experience with large-scale risk or regulatory datasets.
• Exposure to Python, Alteryx or similar automation and analytics tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills, with clear communication to senior audiences.
