VP, Specialist, Business Audit (Risk Management Group)

About the role

DBS Group Audit serves the Board and Executive Management by ensuring the effectiveness and adequacy of the Group's risk and control processes. It acts as an independent, objective assurance and consulting function, advising clients on internal controls. This role sits in the Risk Management Group and involves close collaboration with Group Finance and the Risk Management Group, as well as other functional and location audit teams. The position is based in DBS Asia Central.

Key responsibilities

• Independently lead and execute complex end-to-end audits focused on risk management domains, including Market and Valuation Risk, Counterparty Credit Risk Management and Asset-Liability Management.
• Critically assess the design and operating effectiveness of processes and controls, and develop and implement tailored testing strategies across the region using rule-based analytics.
• Prepare and present clear audit findings and reports, escalate issues promptly and give well-articulated recommendations.
• Monitor audited units continuously to anticipate emerging risks and identify areas of concern.
• Assist the Team Manager in preparing quarterly updates for the Audit Committee.
• Contribute to the team evolving the data-driven operating model, covering dynamic risk assessment, advanced audit planning and innovative testing methods.
• Build strong relationships across audit teams and with business stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in market risk, counterparty credit risk or ALM, gained within a banking institution.
• Deep knowledge of market and liquidity risk concepts, risk metrics, products and regulations (e.g. Basel III FRTB, LCR, NSFR, ALM, Treasury functions).
• Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM or CIA are highly valued.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to explain complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Self-motivated, proactive and analytical, able to work independently and collaboratively.

Required skills

• Familiarity with data-analytics tools such as Python, R and Tableau is a definite plus.
