VP, Strategic Business Planning - Private Banking

About the role

DBS is looking for a VP of Strategic Business Planning for its Private Banking, Consumer Banking Group. The role drives the strategic growth agenda of DBS Private Bank by partnering with senior management on business strategy, growth opportunities, performance management and strategic initiatives. It suits an agile, commercially astute and execution-focused person who thrives in ambiguity and delivers impact at pace.

Key responsibilities

• Drive strategic planning, identify growth opportunities and support the execution of initiatives that strengthen the Private Bank franchise.
• Provide strategic insights, recommendations and executive-level materials to support senior management decisions.
• Own the preparation of business planning, performance review and strategic update materials for management forums, with clear insights and compelling storytelling.
• Lead and coordinate high-priority strategic initiatives across businesses and functions, ensuring timely execution and stakeholder alignment.
• Build partnerships and influence stakeholders across businesses, functions and geographies.
• Analyse business performance and key growth drivers, monitor progress against strategic priorities and generate actionable recommendations.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of the Private Banking business model, client segments, competitive landscape and growth drivers.
• Proven experience in strategy, business planning, business management or transformation roles.
• Experience supporting senior executives and management committees.
• Experience leading cross-functional strategic initiatives.
• Ability to solve complex business problems and operate effectively in ambiguous environments.

Required skills

• Exceptional PowerPoint, presentation and executive storytelling skills, including preparing business review decks and strategic papers.
• Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
