VP, Team Lead, Application Developer - Institutional Banking

About the role

DBS is looking for a VP, Team Lead, Application Developer for its Institutional Banking Group Technology team. Group Technology builds the bank's efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure, managing most of the bank's operational processes across its banking delivery channels. The role leads a team of application developers building corporate banking applications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of application developers to design, build and deploy robust corporate banking applications.
• Drive the technical roadmap, system architecture and design patterns to ensure scalability, security and high performance.
• Work with product owners, business analysts and cross-functional teams to turn business requirements into technical solutions.
• Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle using Agile methodologies.
• Mentor and coach team members and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading application development teams in financial services, specifically corporate banking.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Required skills

• Java, Spring Boot and Microservices architecture
• Cloud platforms, modern databases, APIs and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with AI-powered engineering tools to improve productivity, code quality, testing and operations
• Track record of delivering complex, scalable and secure enterprise software
