Warehouse Assistant

About the role

AbbVie is hiring a full-time Warehouse Assistant in Singapore to execute daily warehouse tasks precisely. The role ensures safety, uninterrupted material supply, compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements, and accurate inventory and documentation for pharmaceutical and biologics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Bulk/Gas Tanker Receipt: coordinate bulk tanker deliveries with Purchasing, Planning, Manufacturing and Quality Control, optimise loading bay use and ensure escorting and documentation for GMP compliance.
• Receiving: unload and inspect incoming materials, palletise, disinfect, process goods receipt in SAP, check shipping and GMP documents, resolve discrepancies and store materials properly.
• Manufacturing Staging: review process orders, create transfer orders in SAP, pick materials by FEFO or allocation, disinfect as needed and stage materials for production.
• API/BDS Storage: accept materials from manufacturing, carry out freeze-down at -80C, and log movements in SAP and records.
• Shipping: pack shipments and samples per SOPs, create shipping marks and documents in SAP, and manage temperature-sensitive packaging such as dry ice and data loggers.
• Warehouse Management: organise storage by condition, liaise with external warehouses, maintain labelling, update SAP/WMRF records and support training.
• Cycle Count: run regular inventory counts with Finance/Auditors using SAP-generated count sheets.
• Safety: operate forklifts and other equipment safely, and handle flammable and hazardous materials according to procedure.
• Other duties: support investigations into inventory discrepancies or GMP/EHS issues, help develop SOPs, escalate issues and complete supervisor-assigned tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum GCE O'Level qualification and 3 years of warehouse experience.
• Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics or an ITE certification highly preferred.
• Basic understanding of cGMP, GDP, EHS and warehouse documentation standards.
• Strong emphasis on accuracy, compliance and hygiene, with a positive, team-oriented attitude and clear communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP or a similar Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Valid Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification.
