Warehouse Lead

About the role

AstraZeneca is building its first biologics manufacturing campus in Singapore and seeks a Warehouse Lead to oversee a high‑performing distribution network. You will connect warehouse execution to business strategy, ensuring medicines are delivered safely, on time, and at the right cost.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a warehousing strategy aligned with production schedules and global supply objectives.
• Govern daily activities across receiving, de‑palletisation, temperature‑controlled and ambient storage, and outbound logistics.
• Optimize warehouse footprint, layout and material handling to support scaling volumes.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, EMA, HSA and internal QMS requirements and lead audit readiness.
• Embed zero‑accident safety mindset and oversee EHS standards.
• Maintain inventory integrity through cycle counting and full physical inventories.
• Protect cold‑chain products with monitored, alarmed systems and manage excursions.
• Own WMS and ERP (SAP/S4HANA) data integrity and integration with manufacturing.
• Lead automation projects such as AGVs, AS/RS, and RFID implementation.
• Build, mentor and up‑skill warehouse managers, supervisors and specialists.

Required profile

• Degree‑level qualification.
• Proven experience managing logistics or distribution teams.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles.
• Experience with regulatory environments (FDA, EMA, HSA) is advantageous.

Required skills

• Warehouse Management System (WMS) ownership.
• ERP expertise, specifically SAP S/4HANA.
• Automation technologies such as Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS), and RFID.
• Cold‑chain monitoring and control systems.
