Wirecut Machinist – Precision CNC EDM

About the role

GD Precision is looking for a dedicated Wirecut Machinist to join our precision engineering team in Woodlands, Singapore. The successful candidate will operate CNC EDM machines to produce high‑accuracy components and ensure fine finishing quality.

Key responsibilities

• Operate CNC EDM (wirecut) machines and manage EDM spark processes.
• Interpret technical drawings and set up machines accordingly.
• Control tolerances within ±0.005 mm and achieve high‑precision results.
• Maintain and calibrate measuring tools such as micrometers, vernier calipers, toolmaker scopes, profile projectors, and digital dial indicators.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
• Work rotating shifts as required to meet production schedules.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in precision CNC EDM or wirecut machining.
• NTC/NITEC related technical certification.
• Basic proficiency in English to read and write simple instructions.
• Ability to work rotating shifts.
